I met new friends from Indonesia. Please enjoy Sakura （cherry blossoms)!

桜満開の松代海津城にて、インドネシアから来た皆さんと友達になりました！皆さん、長野市にお住まいだそうです。嬉しいなー！

the apple season has come!

We have lots of kinds of apples in Nagano ☆
Probably we cannot count all of them…

But people in nagano LOVE them soooo much!

We cannot live without apples from fall to the end of winter !

Near Zenkoji temple, we have a choice café of chiffon cakes.
This is the shop which has remodeled from an old house, and it has the flavor of it.
























The menu has a "dark syrup and burdock", "a fromage (cheesecake flavor)" etc , else such as a standard-tested vanillas and chocolates.
(Dark syrup and burdocks are the foods often used in a Japanese-style dish.)
They has many using Japanese foods, and when I try them, there were "Sake-lees caramel", "Chinese cabbage, white sesame" etc as limited time offers.
In about 30 kinds of tastes , different 6-8 kinds are offered everyday.






Foods are selected carefully for good for health, using domestic rapeseed oil not butter, so feeling lightly, it’s good very much!
Ms. 菓恋(Karen) who is a patissier saying "I’m serving healthy sweets in vegetable oil use and less sugar."

She has passion in making sweets very much, has finished bring her child up in her home, and fulfilled the dream in which she has her own cafe.

Please drop in, when you come to Zenkoji temple.

In Japan we have "Syojin" cuisine which are vegetarian dishes of Buddhism.

Buddhist monks are forbidden to destruct lives, "Syojin" cuisine are dishes which are cooked with various ideas of using vegetables,beans,grain(cereals) and so on except for meats.

We have an event of walking at Zenkoji in Nagano.
At that day,we ate "Syojin" cuisine for lunch at a shukubo "Enjoin".
Shukubo is lodgings for pilgrims at a temple.












There was templa and something like sashimi,but all templas are vegetables and something like sashimi was Yuba.
（Yuba is rolled the thin film made from the soybeans.It's good.)
Other dishes were not meats or fishses at all,the main protein was dishes which made from soybeans as vegetable protein.(Yuba,sesame dofu)

It's tastes were very good!
I did not feel thing insufficient.

It's Japanese style.

In Nagano,we have a famous traditional story about Zenkoji temple.
「牛に引かれて善光寺まいり」
It means"There was a person who was pulled to a cow and visited Zenkoji temple.

Once upon a time there was an old woman who had no faithes.
One day, when she was hunging washed clothes,a cow came and ran a way with her towel on it's horn.
She also ran after it and arrived one place,it was Zenkoji temple.
"It's a massage for me to believe Buddhism from Buddha." and she started to belive it.

There is an event of walking along the story in Nagano.
We local people in Kimono walk from Central square to Zenkoji temple.





















Zenkoji is the biggest temple in NAGANO.
It's a place for we local people somtimes to visit.












In front of the main hall, we pour this smoke on parts of body with hope it better.
A lot of people have habit that pour them heads from they were children.



















We started walking　from here,it's Central Square.
The commendation ceremonies were held on NAGANO Olympic Games.
The players of your countries surely stood here.








I took it at this time.It's back. I put in Yukata.














We Japanese have no chances of putting on Kimono and Yukata usually,
so we glad having sach these events.

There is ORIcafe in Nagano.
You can have an opportunity to make clothes here.　(near Zenkoji)












It is called "SAORI ori" , which is from Osaka.
You could feel its texture made by hands not artificial at all.
Most Japanese love this sort of clothes.






You can choose your favorable threads on your own.







There is a space of cafe too.
They also serve drink and sweets. You can try Japanese green tea, coffee and some desserts as well.
