Information of 'Japan night in Hakuba 2014'
Welcome to Hakuba village!
We aim to promote and introduce local specialties and traditional culture of Hakuba through “Japan Night in Hakuba 2014”. The event will be held 4 times during the winter season.
We hope foreign visitors will have a better understanding of Hakuba after attending our event. Above all, we want our guests to have fun and a memorable time during their stay in Hakuba while appreciating Japanese culture.
This is a project funded by Nagano Prefecture local government under the “Nagano Prefecture Subsidy for Energizing Communities” grant.
This year’s main theme is “Nozawana”, a local specialty dish, which has become a necessity food in Nagano since a long time ago. You can taste “Nozawana” and learn the tales of old Hakuba from the locals. There will also be hands-on experience of Japanese traditional culture such as folding “Origami” and dressing up in “Kimono”.
Come and experience the wonders of Japanese traditions in Hakuba.
