食旅☆NAGANO 活動内容

この冬、白馬で郷土料理をいただきながら交流するイベントを計画しています。
料理のテーマとなるのが、この赤キビ（タカキビ）で、白馬やその周辺地域で昔から食べられている雑穀です。
この植物自体は世界中で栽培種として利用されています。
日本には平安時代（室町時代という説も）に中国から伝来しました。
品種的には別名コーリャン。干ばつなどによく耐え、山間地で栽培されることが多いです。

This winter, we'll hold events at which we will serve local countryside food from old times.
The main ingredient used in this event will be sorghum, a cereal which has been eaten for many centuries.
Sorghum is grown all over the world.
It is said to be introduced from China to Japan in around 15th century.
It can resist droughts and is often grown in the mountain areas.
